About This Game Virtual Warfighter is a tactical multiplayer shooter for the OpenVR virtual reality platform. Engage in realistic combat with physics-based weapons and handling, which enables tactical maneuvers like throwing grenades around corners or into small spaces. Currently you can wield nine different weapons complete with seven different attachments for almost endless variety. Each weapon has been carefully designed to reflect operating its real world counterpart. Currently we support four game modes with the option for perma.death for ultimate realism. 6d5b4406ea Title: Virtual WarfighterGenre: Action, Indie, Simulation, Strategy, Early AccessDeveloper:MDA DigitalPublisher:MDA DigitalRelease Date: 2 Sep, 2016 Virtual Warfighter Download Winrar at the beginning when this game first set on steam i was excited for it but it was too buggy so quit playing it then tried again 2 months ago and no one was on it seemed to be abandoned ... now i jumped on cuz saw the devs havnt abandoned it and did some updates and feels more solid now and maps look good but they need to let everyone know that they have been working on it and its good to play now cuz as of still i cant find anyone on it and no servers and im ready to play it so devs and others get the word out that this game is not dead its gotten better and they are still gonna keep making it better ...so lets get this game busy cuz in my eyes it looks to be better than onward i think so lets get it rolling. I love the visual aspects of the game, the design and the general mechanics. There are some issues with colision detection, some bugs that cause you to lose your weapons if you colide with walls or containers, and ocassional blackouts where you can't see a thing. So far there not many people playing, and the content is limited: one map, one rifle, one sidearm, one type of grenade... no comms ingame, and lack of team based game modes. The menu is quite succinct, but it has a multisampling and anti aliasing setting which lets you improve the overall visual quality quite a lot (if your rig can handle it..) The fov-comfort setting is also very useful, although I haven't tried higher comfort settings as I have strong VR Legs and do not tend to nauseate with natural locomotion. This is a very early release and there's a lot to improve and build, but I am quite sure that this game will grow into something really special and I personally can't wait to see the game and the userbase grow.. Great looking game. But that is all you can do for now. Look.There are no players, no servers, and zero single player content.Marketing department needs to pull their finger out and get this title known.. This game is utter junk, despite the sun shine being displayed by friends of the devs below (because who else would give this game any positives). Don't waste your money, like I did, even on sale today it was a complete waste. This should be a .99 game.Let's start with seeing the vive controllers in game, because completely kills immersion.Next, there are the white circles to hold your gear, which couldn't feel more unrealistic and cheap.Why in the hell would you people have a forward button and then use your head to define the path that you travel on? It should be following the direction of the controller, which is just common sense.The sounds are bad, the position of weapons for holo sights to line up are horrible, even the lobby is garbage - I could really go on and on....Oh and did I mention... NOBODY IS EVER ON IT TO PLAY WITH. An online multiplayer game that has no players, what a concept...DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE unless you want to gain appreciation for other games and are just looking to see how bad things can get in an FPS VR game, because this is definately a bottom of the barrel game.. No users and no action online, so for now its a waste of money. This game is like Onward but without tactics and without waiting. You spawn, and depending on how close to enemies, you might get into a firefight right away. The weapons are great, but I need a tutorial to reload... there is a so much potential for this game. after playing Onwards, sometimes I just want to get in there and shoot (or get shot), and this game does it. Very similar locomotion and graphics. I highly recommend, as it's a blast but still with much more content to come. It still needs voice chat, tutorials, but it's pretty exciting.. Need connectivity testers: We were going to release a partial release with vo-ip and decoupled touch pad locomotion today, but one of our helpful steam members here pointed out to us that his game was not showing up for others. The server was only listed in the server browser sometimes. So we have decided to put other new features aside for now and focus on developing support for lobby matchmaking to ensure connectivity and that everybody can easily play with eachother. We are sorry that we delay a update yet again, but we feel this is even more important than new features. Steam are working on adding a flag for this so its visible before you decide to purchase the game. You can get OK 360-tracking with 2 cameras but its not supported by Oculus. We recommend 3 cameras. We will look at adding a button that can snap turn you in a fixed amount of degrees. But VWF was always designed for 360 tracking and we strongly believe you will not get the full experience from this game without it. We've also made some changes to movement, for example when holding weapon horizontally there is a speed penalty.New map - Route 66 This version is a work-in-progress, which means that map design isn't fully set, and there is a lot of missing detail. We're excited to release our first fully custom map, which as a bonus has large open spaces for long range action.New Weapon - PDW Comes with a new nifty type of magazine, which is attached in a fully physical way.New Impact effects We have changed our impact effects and added sounds on impact. The AI on a map is split into groups / fireteams and act according to known intel and orders from a "Director" AI. This design allows us to implement bots without preternatural knowledge, that can act together in basic ways, which leads to more dynamic, emergent gameplay. For example, the AI doesn't act on a players exact location unless it has visual line of sight of the player.. Update #4 Released!: Hi everyone!The time has come for another release of Virtual Warfighter, and if I say so myself, development is moving along pretty well now!This update is all about tactical weapon attachments. We're really starting to get a feeling we like in the in game lobby now, where you can outfit your weapons just how you want to!Basically, we have added support for dovetail and picatinny attachments on the weapons we have that have such rail systems. The current attachments now released are: 4x scope, laser sight, 12x scope, holo sight, red dot sight, front grip, and a picatinny to dovetail adapter.A point of pride for us at this point is fully networked physics, and the attachment system reflects this, of course. You can detach your attachments in game and throw them away or give them to an ally in need. Switch your laser sight on or off depending on need, it can be a bummer when you are compromised because the enemy saw your little green dot.To give you full customizability, we've added a new AR platform assault rifle, with no less than 4 rails!
